Connecting to the Internet should be easy and with the Penguin 802.11G USB Wireless Adapter it is. The adapter is genuinely Penguin friendly supporting all recent Linux and more modern Linux-libre (free) distributions.
This includes Trisquel a popular desktop oriented distribution, Debian the universal distribution, and gNewSense the model free software distribution. For a longer list of supported distributions see the list below.
The Penguin USB wifi adapter doesn't depend on binary blobs, require any proprietary firmware, driver, or need NDISwrapper making it the easiest adapter for users. To install plug the Adapter into an available USB port and select an access point from your network manager.
Speeds of up to 54Mbps are possible. That is 5 times faster than 802.11b and several times faster than most Internet connections.
