Note: We're recommending customers switch to using a DisplayPort cable over HDMI as HDMI support is limited on many configurations/systems to 4K (3840×2160) at 60Hz with HDR. It's also more problematic for technical reasons and undermines the seamless user experience you'd otherwise get if you need a non-ethical reason to avoid it. Ethtical reasons to avoid it are the HDMI forum's artificial restrictions on open-source implementations. The HDMI forum (that sets the standards and restrictions here) doesn't want your business and we'd encourage folks to avoid HDMI where possible as a result.
