PCLinuxOS 2013.12:
To get ethernet & video working add test to the /etc/apt/sources.list file (2nd line, just after xfce4).
su [enter root password]
apt-get update
apt-get install x11-xserver-xorg kernel-3.10.27-pclos1
apt-get upgrade
reboot
After all this you need to go to:
PC > More Applications > Configuration > Configure Your Computer
[ enter password when prompted ]
Now click on Hardware > Configure Video Card
Under Graphics Card select Intel 810 and later
Under Monitor select your monitor
Under resolution select your resolution and color depth
Now quit/save everything.
* Note: Search the repository for the latest kernel and install that, use apt-cache search kernel to search
