To test support for suspend and hibernate
1. Using commands you can do:
Older distributions:
sudo pm-hibernate
sudo pm-suspend
(install pm-utils package on newer Ubuntu/Debian releases to use above commands)
2. Alternative way:
This won't work on newer releases:
sudo echo mem >/sys/power/state
sudo echo disk >/sys/power/state
3. New way (Ubuntu 16.04+ and newer distributions with SystemD)
systemctl suspend
systemctl hibernate
