Testing Hardware

To test support for 3D acceleration:

1. download http://www.thinkpenguin.com/files/unity_support_test (64-bit version)
(sources cane be found here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/nux-tools)

2. As root or sudo run:

chmod a+x unity_support_test
./unity_support_test -p

Output should look like this:

To test support for suspend and hibernate

1. Using commands you can do:

Older distributions:

sudo pm-hibernate
sudo pm-suspend

(install pm-utils package on newer Ubuntu/Debian releases to use above commands)

2. Alternative way:

This won't work on newer releases:

sudo echo mem >/sys/power/state
sudo echo disk >/sys/power/state

3. New way (Ubuntu 16.04+ and newer distributions with SystemD)

systemctl suspend
systemctl hibernate
