Empathy is an instant messaging program that lets you talk to your friends on the AIM, MSN, Google Talk (Jabber/XMPP), Facebook, Yahoo!, Salut, Gadu-Gadu, Groupwise, ICQ and QQ as well as on many other instant messaging networks in one program! It supports text, voice, video, file transfers and inter-application communication over many different protocols. Empathy is already installed on your computer unless you've removed it. Just go to Applications -> Internet -> Empathy IM Client and enter your user name, password, and select the network you wish to connect to. Be it AIM, MSN, ICQ or one of the other popular networks.

GYache supports most of the features you would expect to find in the official Windows Yahoo! client-but with some value added enhancements. Some of the traditional features found in the Yahoo! client that are supported include: Voice chat, webcams, faders, 'nicknames', audibles, avatars, display images, and more. One of the unique features of GYache is it remains very easy to use and fast.
